Hi Fans,
Update for Dallas: New rule change by the AMA, if
your four seconds a lap faster than other people in your unseeded practice, but
you are not seeded in the top twenty you can ride the seeded practice. At
least that’s what the AMA said, so James Stewart was able to ride the seeded
practice. I feel it was clearly Factory rider privilege. There is other
fast guys like Ryan Clark who goes four seconds a lap faster than other
riders out there, but doesn't' t get any special treatment. I know
Bubba is seeded now, but in the future factory riders will be able to ride the
seeded practice just because.
Also the track was so poor on Friday that many of us
complained. The AMA said, "If you feel the track is unsafe you can
get your money back." That sounds like a brilliant way to solve
a problem. It’s just an on going problem that the riders have no say
in the track conditions. We just show up and ride whatever the track
builders build! Onto the racing.
The first heat race, I rode really tight and it showed.
In the semi race I had a bad start and moved up to sixth until in the final
corner Kyle Lewis tried to pass me back and we both crashed. I don't
understand why he did that, as we weren't going to qualify anyways. The
last chance qualifier race I holeshotted and qualified for the main.
The main event, I was riding good and moving up until I
crashed in the whoops. It didn't feel good as I got the wind knocked out
of me. I finished the race but had a bad result.
Good times ahead
Damon
